Wing Chun Kung Fu
The Wing Chun Kung Fu system dates back over three hundred years to the Siu Lam Temple. As a result of the political atmosphere of the times, this branch of Wing Chun had never been made public or taught outside of its direct lineage, until 1974. Wing Chun Kung Fu was a system designed in a time of war and adversity, where practical techniques and devastating effectiveness were all that counted. The purpose of the system was simple - to defeat all other systems and be able to be mastered in 3 to 6 years.
A system designed for the human body:
Wing Chun was designed in China some 280 years ago in a time of turbulence where 10% of the population (the Manchus) ruled over 80% of the population (the Hons).
To maintain control over the Hons, the Manchus ruled by aggression and banned the Hons from using weapons or training in the Martial Arts.
For the Hons to overthrow their aggressive oppressors they started to train a secret army of Kung Fu practitioners in the Shil Lum Temple.
The problem was that to become efficient in a classic Kung Fu style took up to 15 to 20 years.
Creating a devastating system
A number of China's prominent Grandmasters, whose aims were to restore the Ming Dynasty by overthrowing the Ching (Manchu) decided that the solution was to develop a style utilising the most devastating and effective techniques from all the existing southern fist boxing styles which could be mastered in 3 to 6 years.
The resultant art was Hung Suen Kung Fu.
What makes Wing Chun so effective?
There are many characteristics of Wing Chun which make it one of the most effective martial arts in the world. Some of these include:
- Simultaneous blocking and striking
- A devastating striking technique which allows you to strike up to 9 strikes per second (Note: A Wing Chun practitioner holds the world record for the most punches in one second)
- Using pressure points (and Iron Palm hand and body conditioning) to make strikes even more effective
- Using special 'touch reflexes' which allow you to react many times faster than your opponent
- Utilise punching, grappling, ground fighting, weapons and kicking
- Does not rely on strength. Wing Chun is equally effective for women as it is for men.
- Utilise many strategies to give you the advantage over your opponent irrespective of their size or strength
We will reveal Bruce Lee's secrets:
Bruce Lee trained in Wing Chun and although he later went on to develop another style
(largely founded in Wing Chun techniques and principles), it is a known fact that when Bruce Lee got into real life
situations he reverted back to his Wing Chun techniques (Glover, Jesse, R. Bruce Lee: Between Wing Chun and Jeet Kun Do.
Author published, 1976.) He also said that his Wing Chun instructor and training partner (William Cheung) was the
'best street fighter in the world'.
A unique opportunity for you to study this devastating system:
As with many martial arts systems, the complete traditional system is only passed through direct lineage from one
Grandmaster to his chosen successor.
Si-Fu Alfredo Del-Brocco has trained in Wing Chun for 25 years in the traditional Wing Chun system and is able to pass the system and it's devastating techniques and secrets on to you.
The many varied benefits of training in Hung Suen:
Understandably, everybody is different and has different expectations of their training. Wing Chun is unique in that
it has distinct benefits for everyone.
Training in Wing Chun will:
- Build your self-esteem and confidence
- Improve your co-ordination and reflexes
- Improve your strength, fitness, speed and stamina
- Provide self discipline
- Help mould character
- Improve your health
- and teach you possibly the most effective and devastating martial art in the world
Traditional but not outdated:
Although the system was developed hundreds of years ago our Wing Chun Kung Fu system incorporates modern
training and sports medicine principles so that you are able to learn in the most effective way possible.
The Wing Chun Advantage?
Some of the strategies & principles taught in the Wing Chun system, which once understood & mastered, will give a practitioner the physical & psychological advantage over an opponent in one-on one or multiple opponent scenario are:
- Guarding the Centerline
- Operating along the Central line & Power line
- Simultaneous deflecting, intercepting & striking
- Economy of movement
- Watching & controlling the elbows & knees

The Wing Chun philosophy is simple:
